Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly prompt by The Broke and the Bookish and The Artsy Reader Girl. The list is 400+ strong — so, not wanting to miss anything, I started at prompt #1. This week’s prompt is “Fictional crushes

  1. Rhys, A Court of Thorns and Roses Dark haired, powerful, and damaged male lead #1.
  2. Matthew, The All Souls Trilogy Dark haired, powerful, and damaged male lead #2.
  3. Morozko, The Winternight Trilogy Dark haired, powerful, and damaged male lead #3 … noticing a trend?
  4. Chaol Westfall, Throne of Glass – Dark-haired, powerful, and slightly-damaged male lead #4.
  5. Ambulance Sam, After You – Hunky, grounded, tall, a great cook, and all-round-good-guy. Plus,  he’s a paramedic.
  6. Nick, Crazy Rich Asians – He’s a geeky, kind, loyal English professor who likes cake. Oh, and he’s rich.
  7. Atticus Finch, To Kill a Mockingbird – Kick-ass lawyer + Moral compass + A single dad completely dedicated to his kids? Hello!
  8. Van, Escaflowne – Moving from books to screen. I was obsessed with Escaflowne when it was first released, and spent my grade 5 year utterly in love with Van. I’ve long since gotten over my crush … though, to this day, adore the name “Vaughn”. (First-born son: I’m looking at you.)
  9. Steve Rogers / Captain America, Marvel Cinematic Universe – He’s. just. so. noble.
  10. Young Dumbledore, The Crimes of Grindelwald – Or, you know. Maybe it’s just Jude Law in that grey suit.
